Purpose of the site

Scootify (scootify.eco) is an educational reference guide about electric scooters: history, classification, components, operation, safety. The site is not an online store: we do not sell scooters, do not accept payments, do not publish affiliate links, and do not offer commercial services. The model catalogue under /products/ is a specifications reference, not a sales offer.

Nature of the content

All articles on the site describe the physics, engineering decisions, and regulatory framework of electric scooters as of the publication date of the respective article. Each factual claim is accompanied by a link to a primary source (ISO/UNECE/EN standards, scientific papers, manufacturer documentation, technical specifications). This is informational content, not professional advice: decisions about choosing, operating, repairing, or modifying any specific vehicle remain yours.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided “AS IS”. We do our best to ensure accuracy and completeness, but we do not guarantee that:

  • all data remains current with respect to changes in legislation, standards, or specifications of particular models after the article was published;
  • the techniques described are safe for your specific scooter model, your physical parameters, or your road conditions;
  • third-party sources we link to remain available and unchanged.

The author and owner of the site bears no liability for direct or indirect damages arising from use of information on this site — including injury, property damage, fines, or other consequences of decisions made based on what you have read.

Road safety

Before your first ride, read the current traffic rules in your country/city for electric scooters. In most jurisdictions they differ from rules for cars and bicycles. Wear a certified helmet (EN 1078 or equivalent), inspect the scooter mechanically before each ride, do not ride under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and observe speed limits.

Original texts, diagrams, translations, and compilations on this site are the copyright of the site owner. Quotations, graphs, and data from third parties belong to their respective authors/rights-holders; we use them with citation to the source under fair use / academic and educational quotation. If you believe material on the site infringes your rights, write to the address below — we will review the request promptly.
