Segway
The Segway Ninebot E2 Plus is part of Segway's entry-level E2 family of commuter kick-scooters, sitting above the base E2 and below the E2 Pro and the later E2 Plus II refresh. It pairs a single 300 W front hub motor (rated to 500 W peak) with a compact 220 Wh battery, giving a manufacturer-rated top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and an advertised range of around 25 km. The nominal battery voltage is 21.6 V with 10.2 Ah of capacity, and a full charge takes roughly 7.5 hours. The deck rides on 8.1-inch inner hollow (honeycomb-style) tires that Segway markets as puncture-proof and maintenance-free, splitting the difference between solid and pneumatic rubber for shock absorption without flats. Braking combines a front electronic/regenerative brake with a rear mechanical drum brake. The original E2 Plus has no suspension and is rated IPX4 for splash resistance. A color dashboard shows speed and battery, and the scooter connects to the Segway-Ninebot app for locking, speed modes, ambient lighting and firmware updates. At roughly 14.4 kg it folds for storage and carrying. It is positioned by reviewers as a simple, family-friendly first scooter rather than a performance machine.
