Es2

The Segway Ninebot ES2 is the mid-tier model in Segway-Ninebot's ES line (ES1, ES2, ES4), launched in 2018 as a folding urban commuter. It is built around a single brushless front-wheel hub motor rated at 300 W nominal and up to 700 W peak, giving a top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and a quoted range of up to 25 km (15.5 mi) on the internal 36 V, 5.2 Ah (187 Wh) lithium-ion pack managed by a Smart-BMS. Unusually for its class, the ES2 has both front and rear shock absorption to offset the firmness of its 8-inch front and 7.5-inch rear solid tubeless tyres. A customisable circular LED dashboard, an integrated front light, IP54 water resistance and a Bluetooth smartphone app complete the package, while an optional clip-on external battery mounts on the stem and roughly doubles range. Segway is a US brand founded in 1999 by Dean Kamen and owned since April 2015 by Beijing-based Ninebot — whose early investor and OEM partner was Xiaomi — so the ES line is sold under the Ninebot by Segway name. The trade-off for its compact, light build is the solid tyres and modest power, which make the ES2 a model for short, flat trips rather than long-distance or fast riding.
