Xiaomi
Pro-2
The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is a foldable commuter scooter built around a single 300 W front hub motor with a 600 W peak output, capped at 25 km/h. A 36 V, 12.8 Ah (474 Wh) lithium-ion pack of forty 18650 cells gives a quoted range of up to 45 km, with real-world figures typically around 32 km. It rides on 8.5-inch pneumatic tyres with no dedicated suspension, relying on the air tyres for cushioning, and combines a front regenerative E-ABS brake with a rear mechanical disc brake. An integrated LCD dashboard shows speed, battery, mode and distance, and the Mi Home app adds firmware control and adjustable KERS energy-recovery strength. Xiaomi is a Beijing technology company; it does not build the scooters in-house, instead designing and producing the Mi line in partnership with Ninebot, which has owned Segway since 2015. As the direct successor to the M365 Pro, the Pro 2 became the definitive mass-market commuter, though its single 300 W motor and unsuspended ride show their limits on steep hills and rough surfaces.
