Apollo Ghost
SKU: APOLLO-GHOST-2022
Description
The Apollo Ghost (2022) is a dual-motor performance electric scooter built around two 800 W hub motors that peak at 2000 W combined. A 52 V 18.2 Ah (947 Wh) battery delivers up to 62 km of range in eco mode and a 55 km/h (34 mph) top speed; dual charging ports cut the charge time to about 6 hours versus 12 hours on a single port. Braking pairs front and rear disc brakes with regenerative braking adjustable from the Apollo app. Ride comfort comes from 10-inch pneumatic tyres on adjustable dual-spring suspension front and rear. A centred backlit LCD shows speed, range and Bluetooth status, while the Apollo smartphone app (iOS and Android) tunes regen strength, acceleration, cruise control, kick-to-start and a top-speed cap. Front and rear turn signals and IPX4 water resistance round out the package. The Ghost has since been discontinued from Apollo’s current line-up.

Model history
Apollo Scooters launched the Ghost in November 2020 as an accessible dual-motor alternative to the pricier Apollo Pro, positioning it as “the most refined, compact dual-motor scooter in the game.” The 2022 revision directly addressed early criticisms: a 50% stiffer stem that eliminated handlebar wobble, reinforced rims, and an improved folding mechanism. The Ghost became the benchmark entry-level dual-motor scooter until Apollo officially discontinued it on 13 March 2024.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Explosive acceleration — outperformed Zero 10X and Kaabo Mantis 8 Pro in head-to-head tests

- Strong dual-motor performance in a compact, foldable form
Cons
- Heavy at ~29 kg — impractical for carrying up stairs or on public transit
- Real-world dual-motor range is well below the 62 km ECO-mode figure

- Headlight inadequate for high-speed night riding — aftermarket upgrade advised
- No companion app for GPS tracking or ride customisation
Verdict
4/5 Reviewer consensus · 3 sources
The Apollo Ghost built its reputation as the benchmark entry-level dual-motor scooter. It suits intermediate or experienced riders who want raw acceleration and dual-motor power in a compact form, and heavier riders who need a 136 kg load limit. Portability-focused commuters or range-maximisers will find its 29 kg kerb weight and real-world range limiting.

Feels like a well thought-out and executed commuter scooter that has the speed and power of other much more expensive scooters.
Electrek -
Raw, edgy, and enigmatic as ever — will leave your heart thumping in your chest.
Electric Scooter Insider -
No app, no frills, just a thrilling scooter that gets better the harder you ride it.
