APOLLO
Apollo Phantom 2.0
SKU: APOLLO-PHANTOM-2
Description
The Apollo Phantom 2.0 is a dual-motor performance electric scooter delivering 1,750 W per motor (3,500 W combined) from dual hub motors. The 52 V 27 Ah (1,404 Wh) lithium-ion battery with 21700 cells provides up to 80 km in eco mode and a top speed of 71 km/h (44 mph). Semi-hydraulic dual disc brakes with Power RBS™ regenerative braking deliver confident stopping power with adjustable regen intensity via the Apollo App. Dual 125 mm spring suspension absorbs road irregularities front and rear. PunctureGuard™ self-healing tubeless 11×4-inch tyres seal punctures up to 6 mm using an internal latex layer. The D.O.T. 2.0 built-in display pairs with the Apollo App for ride statistics, motor control, and regen adjustment. Apple Find My-compatible NFC locking provides theft deterrence. Integrated turn signals in the stem and rear fender cluster improve urban visibility. IP66 rated for direct water-jet resistance. Certified to UL2271, UL2272, EN17128, DOE+CEC, FCC, CE-LVD, RED, and RoHS 2.0.

Model history
Apollo Scooters (Montreal, Canada) introduced the original Phantom in 2021 as its first fully in-house performance scooter, followed by iterative V2 (2022) and V3 (2023, adding Ludo mode and a variable regenerative brake lever). In 2025 Apollo released the Phantom 2.0 — a ground-up redesign rather than another revision — with a wider deck, larger D.O.T. 2.0 display, dual 1750W motors, IP66 water resistance and an upgradeable suspension platform. The Phantom line is widely credited with establishing Apollo as a leader in the premium dual-motor commuter segment.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Dual 1750W motors (3,500W peak) deliver strong, planted acceleration and confident hill-climbing, with a wide deck and long wheelbase that feel stable at speed
- Comfortable ride from 125mm front-and-rear suspension paired with 11x4-inch tubeless hybrid tires using PunctureGuard puncture-protection gel
- Strong, predictable stopping from dual disc brakes plus a regenerative braking system with multiple modes
- Premium, durable build: aerospace-grade aluminum frame, IP66 water resistance and a high 330 lb (150 kg) rider weight limit
- Modern feature set including a large D.O.T. 2.0 display, NFC, Apple Find My tracking, OTA firmware updates and Quad Lock phone-mount integration
Cons
- Heavy at roughly 102 lb (46 kg), making it impractical to carry up stairs or lift into a car trunk
- High-performance focus means it is overkill for short, low-speed commutes and is explicitly not aimed at casual or beginner riders
- Off-the-line acceleration is powerful enough that reviewers warn inexperienced riders can be thrown off the bars
- Real-world range falls well short of headline figures — testers measured around 33 miles versus an advertised ‘up to 50 miles’
- High-power modes drain the battery quickly, and the top end is fast enough to be dangerous for sustained riding
Verdict
The Apollo Phantom 2.0 is a premium dual-motor performance commuter aimed at experienced riders who want speed, hill-climbing power and a refined, planted ride rather than easy portability. It is best for those prioritizing build quality, suspension comfort and modern smart features over light weight and casual convenience.
