Begode RS19

SKU: EUC-BGRS-001

Description

The Begode RS19 (also branded Gotway RS) is a 19-inch-class electric unicycle that succeeded the popular MSuper Pro (MSP) line. Its headline feature is an industry-first hollow-bore 2600W motor: the larger hollow axle makes room for thicker-gauge power cables, which lets the motor run cooler and deliver power more smoothly than earlier Begode hubs. The wheel runs a 100V battery pack of LG M50T 21700 cells rated at 1800Wh (a smaller 1496Wh pack was also sold), charged through dual charging ports for faster turnaround with a 100V/3A charger. The RS19 ships in two motor windings: the C30 ‘High Speed’ (HS) variant favours top-end speed, while the C38 ‘High Torque’ (HT) variant trades some top speed for stronger acceleration, braking and hill-climbing. Both ride on an 18×3-inch tyre mounted on a 14-inch rim (the ‘19’ is the nominal outer diameter). Other features include full-length front and rear LED strip lighting, atmospheric lights, dual headlights, a Bluetooth speaker and an improved motor-lift sensor. It is a powerful, well-rounded machine aimed at experienced riders rather than beginners.

Highlights

  • Hollow-bore 2600W motor with thicker power cables for cooler running and smoother power
  • 100V 1800Wh pack using LG M50T 21700 cells, with dual charging ports
  • Two factory variants: C30 high-speed (HS) and C38 high-torque (HT)
  • Ridden top speed around 64 km/h on the high-speed version
  • Front and rear LED strip lighting plus dual headlights for visibility
  • Successor to the Begode MSuper Pro, aimed at all-round high performance

Model history

Released by Begode (formerly Gotway) around 2020, the RS19 was positioned as the successor to the brand’s well-regarded MSuper Pro (MSP). It introduced Begode’s hollow-bore motor design, where a hollow axle accommodates thicker power wiring, and was sold in two windings (C30 high-speed and C38 high-torque) plus battery options of roughly 1496Wh and 1800Wh at 100V.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Smooth, abundant power delivery from the new hollow-bore motor
  • High top speed combined with strong torque for hill climbing
  • Choice of high-speed or high-torque variant to match riding style
  • Bright LED strip lighting front and rear improves visibility
  • Dual charge ports allow faster recharging

Cons

  • Lower pedal height than predecessors increases scraping risk on technical terrain
  • Bulkier shell can feel less comfortable for some riders
  • Noticeable pedal dip remains under hard load
  • Headlights criticised as excessively bright for oncoming traffic
  • Stock CST tyre is less suited to aggressive carving

Verdict

The Begode RS19 is a powerful, smooth all-rounder best suited to experienced riders who want both speed and torque. The hollow-bore motor is its standout, though lower pedals and a bulkier shell are real trade-offs. Choosing the HS or HT variant tailors it to street or hill use.
