DUALTRON
Dualtron Compact
SKU: SCT-DTCMP-001
Description
The Dualtron Compact is a dual-motor performance scooter from Minimotors, released in early 2020. It is the unusual member of the Dualtron family: while almost every other Dualtron rides on pneumatic tyres with disc brakes, the Compact uses 8-inch by 3.5-inch solid (airless) tyres paired with front and rear drum brakes and electronic ABS. The two BLDC hub motors are rated at 1,700 W each, for 3,400 W peak combined, fed by a 60 V, 21 Ah LG-cell pack rated at 1,260 Wh. Reviewers consistently report a real-world top speed near 67 km/h (the manufacturer advertises up to 80 km/h) and a range of roughly 80 km. The wide solid tyres and dual 15-step adjustable rubber-cartridge suspension give it a planted, stable feel that is its defining trait, at the cost of a fairly heavy 32 kg frame and the firmer ride inherent to airless tyres. It folds at the stem and is rated for riders up to 120 kg.

- Dual 15-step adjustable rubber-cartridge suspension, front and rear
- Real-world top speed near 67 km/h and range around 80 km
Model history
Minimotors released the Dualtron Compact at the beginning of 2020. It stood out immediately as an outlier in the Dualtron line: where models such as the Spider and Raptor used pneumatic tyres and disc brakes, the Compact adopted 8-inch solid airless tyres with integrated drum brakes, trading some compliance and unsprung comfort for puncture-proof reliability and a wide, stable contact patch. It slotted in as a more urban-oriented Dualtron, combining the brand’s high-power dual-motor formula with a frame aimed at commuting and mixed terrain.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Wide solid tyres deliver strong grip and a stable, planted ride at speed
- Puncture-proof airless tyres remove flat-tyre maintenance
- Strong dual-motor torque and high gradeability for hills and rough ground
- Long range (around 80 km) for its frame size
- Dual adjustable suspension smooths out urban surfaces
Cons
- Heavy at roughly 32 kg, awkward to carry despite the compact footprint
- Solid tyres ride firmer than pneumatic tyres on sharp impacts
- No official IP rating, so wet-weather use carries risk
- Small 8-inch wheels limit how well it handles large obstacles
- No companion app; relies on the basic EY3 dashboard
Verdict
The Dualtron Compact is a distinctive, well-rounded dual-motor scooter whose solid tyres and drum brakes make it the maintenance-light, stability-focused outlier of the Dualtron range. It rewards riders who want strong power, long range and a planted feel for urban and light off-road use, and who can accept its weight and the firmer ride of airless tyres.
