HILEY
Tiger 8 GTR V4
SKU: T-HILEY-TIGER-8-GTR-V4
Description
Tiger 8 GTR V4 is the most compact dual-motor scooter in the Hiley lineup. 8.5-inch wheels and a 26 kg weight make it ideal for dense cities, public transport, and storage in small apartments.
Despite its compact size, the GTR V4 matches the performance of larger models. Dual motors with a combined 1200W nominal (2000W peak) reach 50 km/h and handle inclines up to 30°. A 19.2Ah battery provides 60 km of range.
Adjustable spring suspension compensates for the smaller wheel diameter. Flame Red color and RGB lighting make the scooter visible. NFC lock and mobile app for convenient control. IPX6 waterproofing for riding in light rain.

Model history
The Tiger line is the main scooter series of Hiley (Ningbo Hiley Technology Co., Ltd.), an electric-scooter maker founded in 2016 and based in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. Hiley designs and manufactures its own scooters and sells them internationally through regional distributors in the United States, Europe and North America. The Tiger range spans compact urban commuters (Tiger MAX, Tiger 8/10, Tiger Evo) up to high-power dual-motor models with hydraulic suspension (Tiger Supra and the flagship Tiger King RS).

Pros & cons
Pros
- Compact 8.5-inch format keeps the deck and overall footprint city-friendly, making it easier to weave through traffic, park, and carry up stairs than larger touring scooters
- Dual-motor drivetrain with a 2000W peak rating gives it the torque headroom to handle hills and quicker starts than a comparable single-motor commuter
- Manufacturer-claimed top speed of up to 50 km/h and ~60 km range cover typical urban commuting distances on paper
- Sits within the Hiley Tiger line, which the lineup overview describes as sharing a common premium feature set (IPX6 waterproofing, NFC security, RGB lighting, 6061-T6 aluminium frame, fast charging)
- Positioned explicitly as a city scooter, so the gearing and ergonomics are tuned for stop-and-go commuting rather than off-road use
Cons
- The up-to-50 km/h speed and ~60 km range are optimistic manufacturer figures and have not been independently verified for this exact variant — real-world numbers typically fall short, especially under load, hills, or cold
- Hiley is a lesser-known Chinese brand with limited independent testing; this specific Tiger 8 GTR V4 has no dedicated third-party review, so claims rest largely on the maker’s own data
- Support, spare parts, and warranty depend on regional distributors rather than a broad service network, which can complicate repairs outside core markets
- The small 8.5-inch wheels and compact platform trade ride comfort and stability at higher speeds for portability, and are less forgiving on rough or broken pavement
- A 2000W-peak dual-motor setup adds weight versus a single-motor commuter, reducing the practical portability the compact form factor implies
Verdict
The Tiger 8 GTR V4 is the compact, city-focused entry in Hiley’s Tiger line, pairing an 8.5-inch portable form factor with a dual-motor drivetrain aimed at everyday urban commuting rather than the long-range or high-speed touring covered by larger Tiger models like the 10 V5 or Evo GTR. It suits riders who want quick, manoeuvrable point-to-point transport in town and are comfortable relying on manufacturer specs and distributor support, since this exact variant has not been independently tested.
