Model history
The Tiger line is the main scooter series of Hiley (Ningbo Hiley Technology Co., Ltd.), an electric-scooter maker founded in 2016 and based in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. Hiley designs and manufactures its own scooters and sells them internationally through regional distributors in the United States, Europe and North America. The Tiger range spans compact urban commuters (Tiger MAX, Tiger 8/10, Tiger Evo) up to high-power dual-motor models with hydraulic suspension (Tiger Supra and the flagship Tiger King RS).

Pros & cons
Pros
- Dual-motor drivetrain rated at 3000W peak places it at the top of the commuter-focused Evo series, giving strong hill-climbing and acceleration headroom for a mid-tier scooter.
- Dual-charging support lets the battery be topped up from two chargers at once, cutting downtime between rides.
- Independent hands-on testing by Electric Scooter Guide measured roughly 30 miles of real-world range, the longest in the line they tested and noticeably further than the faster Tiger 10 V5.
- Measured at only 60 dB at full throttle, it runs quieter than the V5 (65 dB), which suits commuting in quieter or residential settings.
- Hydraulic braking provides consistent stopping power, measured stopping from 15 mph in about 11 feet in third-party testing.
Cons
- The manufacturer’s headline figures of up to 65 km/h and ~85 km range are optimistic claims; independent testing recorded a real-world top speed near 41 mph and only ~30 miles of range, so expect well below the stated range in normal use.
- Tuned for commuting rather than outright speed, it accelerates more slowly and tops out lower than the sportier Tiger 10 V5.
- As a lesser-known Chinese brand sold through regional distributors, Hiley has limited independent review coverage and parts/support availability can hinge on the distributor network.
- It is a high-power dual-motor machine, so portability and weight are a trade-off versus lighter single-motor commuters.
- Only a small number of third-party tests exist for the Hiley range, and figures for this exact variant rely on a single measured comparison rather than broad independent verification.
Verdict
The Tiger Evo GTR sits at the top of Hiley’s commuter-oriented Evo line, trading the raw speed of the performance-focused Tiger 10 V5 for longer real-world range and quieter, smoother running. It suits riders who prioritise daily commuting distance and refinement over top-end performance, and who are comfortable buying through a regional distributor with limited independent review coverage.
What reviewers say
-
The Evo GTR topped out at around 41 mph and reached around 30 miles in similar testing conditions, running quieter at 60 dB but accelerating more slowly and with a lower top speed than the Tiger 10 V5.
