InMotion V11

SKU: EUC-IMV11-001

Description

The InMotion V11 is an 18-inch electric unicycle built around an 84V battery rated at roughly 1500Wh and a hub motor with a 2200W sustained rating and a 3000W peak. Its defining feature is a built-in air-spring pedal suspension with around 70mm of travel, which InMotion introduced as the first such system on a production electric unicycle. Reviewers position it as a smooth, powerful machine intended for everyday commuting and relaxed cruising rather than for tricks or maximum top speed. The unit weighs about 27kg, reaches roughly 50km/h once speed limits are unlocked in the companion app, and is rated for a maximum load near 120kg. Practical range depends heavily on rider weight, speed and terrain; the manufacturer cites a maximum near 95km under favourable conditions. The V11 carries an IP55 rating, a bright front headlight, an automobile-style taillight, a built-in kickstand and a telescoping trolley handle, and it relies on LED indicators plus in-app statistics rather than a traditional display.

Model history

InMotion announced the V11 in 2020 and brought it to market in 2020-21, presenting it as the world’s first production electric unicycle with built-in air suspension. During production InMotion switched the 21700 cell supplier from LG to Samsung, citing supply shortages. The V11 became a landmark commuter and performance wheel and was later succeeded by the upgraded V11Y.

Verdict

The InMotion V11 is best understood as a comfort-focused commuter and cruiser whose air suspension was genuinely pioneering for an electric unicycle. What reviewers say

  • Gliding around on the InMotion V11 is not just smooth. It’s effortless and enjoyable.
    Freshly Charged
  • The V11 is powerful and responsive. As a heavier guy, that’s important… a more powerful motor counterintuitively gives you more control.
    MakeUseOf
  • There’s built-in suspension with 70 mm of travel to help ease bumps and make off-road riding more comfortable.
