Inokim OXO

SKU: SCT-INOXO-001

Description

The Inokim OXO is the flagship dual-motor model of Israeli brand Inokim, pairing two 1000W hub motors (2600W peak) with a 60V 25.6Ah (1536Wh) LG-cell battery. It is widely praised for build quality and ride comfort: each frame part is CNC-machined from aviation-grade aluminium alloy, and a distinctive single-sided swingarm carries an adjustable rubber-cartridge suspension front and rear. Dual hydraulic disc brakes deliver some of the shortest stopping distances measured in its class. Manufacturer range is rated up to 110 km, though independent testing at higher speeds returns roughly half that. It rides on 10-inch pneumatic tyres and folds for transport, with a kerb weight around 34 kg.

Model history

Inokim was founded by Israeli industrial designer Nimrod Sapir, who built an early light folding e-scooter under the MyWay name around 2009-2011 before the brand was renamed Inokim (“Innovation Of last KIloMeter”) following a 2014 partnership with Kfir Ben-Shushan. The OXO became Inokim’s range-topping dual-motor model, positioned as a refined premium commuter and performance scooter rather than a raw hyper-class machine.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Exceptional build quality from CNC-machined aluminium frame
  • Very smooth, well-damped rubber-cartridge suspension
  • Class-leading hydraulic disc braking (stops measured under 3 m)
  • Large 1536Wh battery enables long real-world commuting range
  • Quiet ride with minimal rattles when properly assembled

Cons

  • Heavy at around 34 kg, awkward to carry despite folding
  • Sluggish, non-linear throttle response with no zero-start ramp
  • Hard plastic deck is slippery and benefits from added grip tape
  • Long full charge time (around 13.5 hours on the standard charger)
  • 64 km/h top speed exceeds legal limits in most jurisdictions

Verdict

The Inokim OXO is one of the best-built and smoothest-riding premium commuter scooters available, with standout suspension and braking. Its weight, slow throttle tuning and long charge time are the trade-offs for that refinement, and its top speed is well above road-legal limits in most regions.
