KingSong S18
SKU: EUC-KSS18-001
Description
The KingSong S18 is the company’s first suspension electric unicycle (EUC), built around a 2200W hub motor (about 5000W peak) on an 84V system. Its defining feature is an exoskeleton-style frame wrapped around a linkage-driven air suspension that gives roughly 100mm of wheel travel, with stiffness adjustable on the fly to suit terrain and rider weight. The 18-inch, 3-inch-wide pneumatic tire and 1110Wh battery (LG M50LT cells in the standard pack) yield a manufacturer-claimed top speed near 50 km/h and a claimed range of up to about 100 km. Relatively light for its class at roughly 22 kg, the S18 is aimed at riders who want comfort over rough surfaces, though balancing a unicycle remains a serious skill that beginners must learn before riding at speed.

Model history
KingSong, one of the longest-running electric-unicycle makers, unveiled the S18 in April 2020 as its first wheel with built-in suspension. It arrived within roughly a week of InMotion’s V11, making the two among the first production suspension EUCs and opening a category that KingSong later extended with the S22 and S20. The S18’s bold exoskeleton design and adjustable air suspension made it one of the most influential and widely reviewed unicycles of its generation.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Adjustable air suspension smooths broken pavement and rough terrain
- Distinctive exoskeleton design widely praised by reviewers
- Relatively lightweight (~22 kg) for a suspension wheel
- On-the-fly suspension tuning for terrain and rider weight
- 5000W peak motor and 18-inch tire add capability over its predecessors
Cons
- Early units had fit-and-finish issues (pedal tension, grip-tape peeling)
- 1110Wh pack could sag under heavy load, limiting sustained power
- Steep learning curve — riding a unicycle demands real balancing skill
- 31 mph top speed is dangerous without experience and full protective gear
- Air suspension needs periodic adjustment to keep its feel
Verdict
The KingSong S18 is a historically important wheel — the first KingSong suspension EUC — and still rides smoothly, suiting experienced riders who value comfort over rough ground. It is not a beginner machine: it is fast and demands confident balancing skills plus full protective gear (helmet, wrist, elbow and knee protection), and early units had quality-control niggles worth checking.
What reviewers say
-
The S18 is like skating on ice. The smoothness is unlike any wheel I’ve piloted.
Freshly Charged -
The wheel arrived with the grip tape peeling off the pedals — a fit and finish problem.
