Model history
The Burn-E MAX is the top-of-line variant of the Burn-E platform, stepping up from the standard Burn-E with a larger-capacity 72V 40Ah pack, dual 1500W motors with an 8400W peak and 4-piston LOGAN hydraulic brakes. Across the second-generation lineup the MAX designation has consistently meant the most powerful motors, the bigger battery and the upgraded 4-piston calipers versus the base model’s smaller pack and 2-piston brakes. It is positioned as NAMI’s flagship long-range performance machine.

Pros & cons
Pros
- One of the quickest production accelerations in its class
- Adjustable dual hydraulic suspension — benchmark comfort
- Powerful 4-piston hydraulic brakes
- High build quality and premium materials
- Larger 72V 40Ah battery extends touring range well beyond the standard Burn-E in eco riding
- 4-piston LOGAN full-hydraulic brakes on 160mm discs give very short, controlled stops
- Adjustable hydraulic shocks that reviewers called arguably some of the best they have experienced
- Strong acceleration, ranked by Electric Scooter Insider among the quickest production scooters from 0-30 mph
- Stable, planted feel at speed thanks to chassis refinements and an included steering damper
Cons
- Heavy (over 40 kg) — awkward to carry
- Demanding to own and maintain (premium parts, slow charging)
- Power is overkill for the city — best for experienced riders
- Very heavy at roughly 50 kg, which hurts portability and makes loading into a vehicle a two-person job
- Advertised 140 km range and 105 km/h top speed are not reached in testing, where real-world range fell to roughly 48-55 miles
- Size and weight make it overkill for short urban commutes
- Premium drivetrain and battery add cost and complexity over the base Burn-E
- Long charge times with the standard single charger given the large pack capacity
Verdict
5/5 Reviewer consensus · 3 sources
The Burn-E MAX is for riders who want the most range and braking authority in the Burn-E family and are willing to live with serious weight to get it. It rewards open-road and long-distance use over tight city commuting, where its mass and dimensions become a liability, but for a comfort-first long-range flagship its suspension and brakes are standout.
