VETERAN
Veteran Lynx
SKU: EUC-VTLYN-001
Description
The LeaperKim Veteran Lynx is a high-performance suspension electric unicycle positioned at the top of the Veteran (LeaperKim) range. It pairs a 151.2V battery system using Samsung 50S high-power cells (2,700Wh) with a 3,200W nominal motor rated to roughly 8kW peak, giving it the torque and electronic speed ceiling associated with the fastest production EUCs. A Fastace hydraulic coil-over module provides about 90mm of functional suspension travel and is user-adjustable through three spring weights (62/66/70 lb), letting riders tune the platform to their mass and terrain. The wheel uses a 14-inch rim fitted with a wide 80/90-14 tire that measures roughly 20 inches overall, available in knobby off-road or street patterns. The chassis weighs about 40kg, and connectivity is handled through a companion iOS/Android app over Bluetooth. LeaperKim does not publish an official IP rating for the Lynx, and water damage is excluded from its warranty, so it is best treated as splash-resistant rather than waterproof. Note that this entry covers the original Lynx; the later Lynx S is a separate, higher-voltage sibling and its figures are not reused here.

Model history
LeaperKim introduced the Veteran Lynx around 2023, with broad availability and reviews appearing through late 2023 and into 2024. It was positioned as a suspension counterpart to the brand’s non-suspension Sherman line, bringing a 151.2V architecture and a Fastace coil module to the Veteran range. A higher-voltage Lynx S variant followed as a distinct successor model.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Very high power reserve and torque from the 151.2V, 8kW-peak drivetrain
- Adjustable Fastace suspension tunable to rider weight and terrain
- Large 2,700Wh pack supports long mixed-terrain range
- Wide 20-inch tire with both off-road and street tread options
- Strong reported hill-climbing performance even under heavier riders
Cons
- No officially published IP rating; water damage excluded from warranty
- Around 40kg, making it heavy to lift, carry or load
- Reviewers noted ergonomic gripes such as loud beeping and no kill switch
- Power ceiling far exceeds what most riders can safely use
- No factory-included protective pads noted by some reviewers
Verdict
The Veteran Lynx is a heavyweight, high-voltage suspension EUC aimed at experienced riders who want substantial power reserves and an adjustable coil suspension for off-road and high-speed use. Its lack of an official IP rating and considerable mass are the main practical trade-offs.
