Veteran Sherman
SKU: EUC-VTSHM-001
Description
The Veteran Sherman is the debut electric unicycle from LeaperKim (Guangzhou Veteran Intelligent Technology), launched in 2020 and widely credited with defining the long-range touring EUC class. A 2500W hub motor on a 100.8V system draws from a large 3200Wh Panasonic 18650 pack (two 1600Wh packs with dual charge ports), enabling well over 100km of real-world range and a loaded top speed around 72km/h. The 20-inch pneumatic wheel and wide, laterally balanced chassis make it a remarkably stable cruiser, though it carries no suspension. Built around a steel roll cage with dual cooling fans, the Sherman earned a reputation for durability and range rather than outright off-road plushness. It is a machine for experienced wheel riders, not beginners.

Model history
LeaperKim (Guangzhou Veteran Intelligent Technology), a team that includes former Gotway engineers, released the Sherman as its very first product in 2020. It immediately set a new benchmark for range and was widely regarded as one of the best and most popular EUCs of that year. The Sherman established the long-range touring template that LeaperKim later extended with the Sherman Max, Sherman-S and Sherman-L.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Huge 3200Wh battery delivers class-leading range for its era — long rides with little range anxiety
- Wide 20-inch wheel and laterally balanced design make it an unusually stable, confident cruiser
- Strong 2500W motor sustains high cruising speeds and handles long-distance touring
- Durable steel roll-cage build with dual cooling fans and dual charge ports
- Bluetooth telemetry via third-party apps (DarknessBot on iOS, EUC World on Android) plus on-board LCD
Cons
- Heavy at around 35kg (77 lbs) — awkward to lift, carry, or load into a vehicle
- No suspension, so big bumps and rough terrain are transmitted to the rider
- Steep learning curve — like any unicycle it demands real balancing skill before it is safe
- High speed and power are dangerous for inexperienced riders; full protective gear is essential
- From a then-new manufacturer, raising early questions about long-term parts and support
Verdict
The Veteran Sherman suits experienced EUC riders who prioritise range and stable, high-speed touring over suspension comfort or compactness. It is the wheel that defined the long-range class, but its weight, speed and unsuspended ride make it unsuitable for beginners and a poor choice without full protective gear.
What reviewers say
-
The weight of the Veteran Sherman is balanced, which creates a super stable cruiser.
Everything Electric Unicycle -
This wheel has gone further faster than any wheel I’ve owned. As of this writing it’s solid with no signs of fatigue.
Freshly Charged -
For the speed demons and long distance riders in the EUC community these numbers are very exciting.
