Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2
SKU: XIAOMI-PRO-2
Description
The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is a foldable commuter scooter built around a single 300 W front hub motor with a 600 W peak output, capped at 25 km/h. A 36 V, 12.8 Ah (474 Wh) lithium-ion pack of forty 18650 cells gives a quoted range of up to 45 km, with real-world figures typically around 32 km. It rides on 8.5-inch pneumatic tyres with no dedicated suspension, relying on the air tyres for cushioning, and combines a front regenerative E-ABS brake with a rear mechanical disc brake. An integrated LCD dashboard shows speed, battery, mode and distance, and the Mi Home app adds firmware control and adjustable KERS energy-recovery strength. Xiaomi is a Beijing technology company; it does not build the scooters in-house, instead designing and producing the Mi line in partnership with Ninebot, which has owned Segway since 2015. As the direct successor to the M365 Pro, the Pro 2 became the definitive mass-market commuter, though its single 300 W motor and unsuspended ride show their limits on steep hills and rough surfaces.

Model history
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 was launched in 2020 by Xiaomi as part of its 2020 scooter wave alongside the Essential and 1S, succeeding the M365 Pro. It is the direct refinement of Xiaomi’s M365 lineage — the platform that powered early Bird and Lime rental fleets and became the most-cloned commuter design globally. Produced with Ninebot rather than in-house, the Pro 2 set the global reference point for the affordable long-range folding commuter and remains one of the best-selling consumer e-scooters of all time.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Strong real-world range for a mid-tier single-motor commuter
- Reliable dual braking combining regenerative E-ABS and a rear disc
- 8.5-inch pneumatic tyres soften road imperfections without added bulk
- Light and genuinely portable at 14.2 kg with a simple fold
- Mature Mi Home app ecosystem with adjustable energy recovery
Cons
- Single 300 W front motor struggles on steep inclines and from a standstill
- No dedicated suspension, so larger bumps reach the rider through the deck
- Real-world range of about 32 km falls short of the 45 km quote
- Charging from empty takes roughly 8.5 hours
- Pneumatic tyres are puncture-prone compared with self-sealing or solid tyres
Verdict
The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is a balanced, portable commuter that pairs respectable range with simple dual braking and a mature app ecosystem. It suits city riders on mostly flat routes who want a light, foldable scooter over outright power or off-road comfort.
