Yume X11

SKU: SCT-YMX11-001

Description

The Yume X11 is a large dual-motor performance scooter from Chinese maker Yume, aimed at riders who want both road speed and off-road capability. The original X11 pairs two 2500 W hub motors (around 5000 W continuous, with peak figures above) with a 60 V 35 Ah Panasonic 21700 battery, giving an advertised range near 96 km and a top speed widely cited at 50 mph (80 km/h). It rides on 11-inch all-terrain pneumatic tires and uses a so-called mullet suspension: air suspension at the front and dual coil springs at the rear, plus a steering damper intended to reduce high-speed wobble. A later revision marketed as the X11+ raises the motors to 2x3000 W (6000 W total), offers 27 Ah or 30 Ah Samsung 21700 battery options and updates the front to a hydraulic spring fork. Both versions stop with dual hydraulic disc brakes and an electronic brake system, fold for transport, and carry an IP54 splash rating. As a heavy, high-power machine, the X11 is positioned for experienced riders and is not a beginner commuter.

  • Dual hub motors: 2x2500 W (about 5000 W) on the original X11, raised to 2x3000 W (6000 W) on the X11+ revision
  • 60 V battery; 35 Ah Panasonic 21700 on the original, 27 Ah/30 Ah Samsung 21700 options on the X11+
  • Advertised range up to roughly 96 km (60 miles) and a top speed commonly cited at 50 mph (80 km/h)
  • Mullet suspension: air fork at the front and dual coil springs at the rear, with a steering damper
  • 11-inch all-terrain pneumatic tubeless tires for mixed on-road and off-road use

Model history

The Yume X11 launched as the flagship of Yume’s X-series around 2021, positioned as the brand’s most refined high-power scooter to that point and one of the first to combine a large LED-lit deck, a steering damper and a 60 V 35 Ah Panasonic 21700 pack. Independent hands-on reviews appeared from late 2021 through 2022. Yume later released an upgraded version sold as the X11+, increasing motor output to 2x3000 W, switching the front to a hydraulic spring fork and offering Samsung 21700 battery options of 27 Ah and 30 Ah. The X11/X11+ should not be confused with Yume’s earlier, lower-power YM-D4 (a 52 V, 2x1000 W, 10-inch model) or the related Y11 series, which share the brand but use different chassis and electronics.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • High-power dual-motor drivetrain capable of strong acceleration and steep hill climbing
  • Large 60 V battery (35 Ah on the original) supports long advertised range
  • Mullet air/coil suspension and 11-inch pneumatic tires give a comfortable, compliant ride
  • Dual hydraulic disc brakes plus a steering damper aid control at higher speeds
  • All-terrain tires and folding frame make it usable on mixed surfaces

Cons

  • Heavy chassis (around 50 kg) makes carrying and storage difficult
  • Only an IP54 splash rating, so not suited to heavy rain or deep water
  • High speed and power make it unsuitable for beginners and often above road-legal limits in many regions
  • Specifications vary between the original X11 and the X11+ revision, which can cause confusion when buying or sourcing parts

Verdict

The Yume X11 is a hyper-class dual-motor scooter built for speed and off-road riding rather than casual commuting. With its 60 V Panasonic pack, mullet suspension and 11-inch all-terrain tires, it suits experienced riders who can manage a heavy, fast machine and accept its IP54 weather limits. Confirm whether you are looking at the original X11 or the upgraded X11+, as their motors and batteries differ.
