BEGODE
Begode Extreme
SKU: EUC-BGEXT-001
Description
The Begode Extreme is a suspension off-road electric unicycle from Begode (formerly Gotway). It pairs a 134.4 V, 2,400 Wh battery using Samsung 21700 50S cells with a 3,500 W C40 high-torque hub motor. The defining feature is a 130 mm air-oil shock with adjustable rebound and compression damping, delivering roughly 60-80 mm of usable travel under rider load. A moto-style 3.0-12 ETRTO knobby tire (mounted on a J802 carcass) is geared toward loose terrain, trails and jumps rather than smooth pavement. Vendor figures cite a top speed near 80 km/h on private land and a no-load motor speed around 110 km/h, with mixed real-world range of roughly 70-75 km. The unit weighs about 39 kg and supports a maximum load near 130 kg. Auxiliary features noted by distributors include a high-output headlight, a Bluetooth speaker, a telescopic carry handle and a top-panel display.

Model history
The Begode Extreme was released in the summer of 2023 as Begode’s high-voltage suspension off-road wheel, sitting alongside the Master in the brand’s 134 V lineup. It was positioned as a trail- and jump-focused machine, with the longest suspension travel and one of the more refined damping setups Begode had shipped to that point. Early units drew attention for a launch firmware quirk where the motor spun up in mid-air during jumps.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Long-travel 130 mm air-oil suspension with adjustable damping soaks up rough terrain
- 3,500 W C40 high-torque motor delivers strong climbing and acceleration
- High-voltage 134.4 V, 2,400 Wh pack supports sustained high-speed riding
- Moto knobby tire provides grip on loose off-road surfaces
- Practical extras: high-output headlight, Bluetooth speaker, telescopic handle
Cons
- Moderate real-world range (roughly 70-75 km mixed) for its battery size
- Off-road tuning and moto tire are less suited to smooth city pavement
- Heavy at around 39 kg, making it harder to carry and lift
- Launch firmware spun the motor up to speed in mid-air during jumps
- No officially published IP rating despite claimed sealing improvements
Verdict
The Begode Extreme is a purpose-built high-voltage off-road unicycle whose long-travel adjustable suspension and high-torque C40 motor target trail riding, climbs and jumps. Riders prioritizing terrain capability over touring range or smooth-pavement refinement are its intended audience; its weight and moderate range are the main trade-offs.
What reviewers say
-
The air-oil suspension system’s 130mm rebound makes it the finest dampening system on a Begode wheel.
