BEGODE
Begode Master Pro
SKU: EUC-BGMSTP-001
Description
The Begode Master Pro is the larger, longer-range sibling of the Begode Master, built by the Chinese maker Begode (formerly Gotway). It runs a 134.4 V battery system carrying 35.7 Ah / 4,800 Wh of Samsung cells (32s8p, 256 cells) — among the biggest packs ever fitted to a production electric unicycle. A C38 4,500 W hub motor drives the V2; the later V3 steps up to a C40HT 5,000 W motor with an upgraded 48-MOSFET controller and a larger display. A reverse-chamber air shock gives roughly 80 mm of adjustable suspension travel under a 22-inch wheel, and reviewers describe the ride as exceptionally plush. Real cruising speeds sit around 88 km/h (about 55 mph), with a much higher no-load free-spin figure that should not be treated as a riding speed. At roughly 53.5 kg it is one of the heaviest unicycles available and an intermediate-to-expert machine, not a beginner wheel.
Highlights
- 134.4 V system with 35.7 Ah / 4,800 Wh of Samsung cells (32s8p) — one of the largest EUC batteries ever produced
- C38 4,500 W hub motor (V2); V3 upgrades to a C40HT 5,000 W motor with a 48-MOSFET controller
- 22-inch wheel with a reverse-chamber air shock and roughly 80 mm of adjustable suspension travel
- Reviewers cite a real-world cruising speed around 88 km/h (~55 mph); the no-load figure is far higher and not a ride speed
- Marketed for very long range, with retailers quoting up to ~190 mi (~306 km) on level ground under gentle riding
- Heavy at roughly 53.5 kg — praised for seated comfort but demanding to carry and to learn on
Model history
Begode (the renamed Gotway brand) introduced the Master Pro in late 2022 as the big-wheel, big-battery flagship above the standard Master. Where the Master uses a 20-inch wheel and a 2,400 Wh pack, the Master Pro scales up to a 22-inch wheel and a 4,800 Wh battery — at launch among the highest-capacity EUC packs ever built. A later V3 revision added a C40HT 5,000 W motor, an upgraded 48-MOSFET controller and a larger display. It sits near the top of the high-performance EUC segment and is widely treated as an intermediate-to-expert touring machine.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Enormous 4,800 Wh battery delivers class-leading long-distance touring range
- Powerful 134 V drivetrain (4,500 W, 5,000 W on V3) climbs hills easily and cruises confidently at high speed
- Plush adjustable air suspension and a 22-inch wheel that reviewers call among the smoothest rides available
- Especially comfortable for seated riding over marathon distances
- Large diameter and low suspension setting give steady, predictable high-speed stability
Cons
- Very heavy at roughly 53.5 kg — hard to lift, transport or recover after a dismount
- Build quality is inconsistent; reviewers and owners report loose screws, missing parts and rough assembly out of the box
- Range claims are optimistic — retailer figures near 190 mi are best-case; real-world riders report far less
- No published IP rating and explicitly not a trail wheel; not intended for wet-weather or rough off-road riding
- Limited cutout warning (pedal dip plus beeps) means high speeds demand full gear and a disciplined speed margin
Verdict
The Begode Master Pro suits experienced EUC riders who prioritise long range, high cruising speed and suspension comfort — particularly seated touring — over portability and refinement. Its giant 4,800 Wh battery and plush 22-inch suspension ride are its defining strengths, offset by considerable weight, uneven build quality and optimistic range claims. It is an expert touring machine, not a starter wheel.
What reviewers say
-
It is definitely an intermediate to expert wheel due to its size and weight.
Freshly Charged -
I love the power and firmware on Begode wheels. However, I loathe their craftsmanship.
Freshly Charged -
The ride is the smoothest in the world, thanks to the 22″ tire and the plush suspension with 3″ of travel.
Everything Electric Unicycle -
Many buyers have reported issues right out of the box, such as hand-tight screws, missing pieces, and poorly assembled parts.
