Description
Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro — The Generation Between Classic and GTR
The Wolf King GT Pro is the 2022 flagship, sitting between the original Wolf King (2021) and the Wolf King GTR (2023), and still available in the Kaabo USA lineup. Twin 2000W motors produce a combined 8400W peak — 36% lower than the GTR’s 13,440W, but at launch the GT Pro defined the class standard.
The 72V 35Ah battery (2520 Wh) is identical to the GTR’s base configuration and supports Kaabo’s claimed range of up to 112 miles (~180 km) in eco / single-motor mode, or approximately 55 miles (~90 km) at speed. Acceleration from 0 to 30 mph in approximately 3.8 seconds trails the GTR (3.3–3.5 s), but remains outstanding for the off-road class.
Dual-wishbone front and hydraulic rear suspension, hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors and ABS, 12-inch tubeless tyres, and IPX-rated waterproofing are features the GT Pro shares with the GTR. The distinction: the GT Pro uses twin 72V 50A sine-wave controllers, while the GTR introduced Kaabo’s proprietary dual-channel FOC controller. NFC lock is present.
The GT Pro appeals to riders who want the Wolf King platform for less than a GTR and can accept lower peak power. Rider Guide cited 10 important upgrades over the original Wolf King.

Model history
The Wolf King GT Pro is the evolution of the original Wolf King (2021) and the direct predecessor of the Wolf King GTR (2023). Rider Guide described it as offering ‘10 Important Upgrades’ over the first Wolf King — including improved brakes, suspension geometry, and electronics. Despite the arrival of the GTR and GTR Max, Kaabo USA continues to sell the GT Pro, and it remains a relevant option for riders for whom the 8400W platform is sufficient.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Measured top speed of 65.8 mph (105.9 km/h) and 0–30 mph in 3.3 seconds — the second-fastest production scooter independently tested by Rider Guide and Electric Scooter Guide
- Powerful Zoom hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors 3mm thick (50% thicker than standard); stopping distance from 15 mph is just 11.5 feet
- Fully adjustable hydraulic suspension — 18-level rear damper and dual-wishbone front fork — delivers stability and comfort on rough surfaces at high speed
- Removable UL 2271-certified 72V 35Ah battery, real-world range of 43+ miles in mixed riding, and a 330 lb (150 kg) weight limit
- Proprietary dual-channel FOC controller with NITRO burst mode (110A, 10 s) and traction control — smooth, controlled delivery of 13,440W peak power
- 8400W peak and 100 km/h still exceed most rivals in the class
- 72V 35Ah battery delivers 55+ miles (90+ km) of real-world range at speed
- 50° climb angle was the steepest claim in the Wolf King lineup at launch
- Hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors and ABS provide confident high-speed stopping
- Lower cost than the GTR while retaining the 72V platform and Wolf King chassis geometry
Cons
- Weight of ~137 lbs (62 kg) makes carrying up stairs or loading into a car impractical — requires an SUV or ground-level parking
- The folding mechanism is the most difficult to use among all scooters tested by Electric Scooter Insider: an unreliable latch and a safety pin that bends easily
- Trigger throttle (rather than a twist grip) causes hand fatigue on longer rides
- Smoked rear tail-light cover reduces brake-light and turn-signal visibility in daylight — a genuine safety concern
- Traction control automatically disables in Sport mode, causing rear-wheel spin up to ~40 mph; demands experienced, attentive riding
- 8400W peak and twin 50A controllers are a notable step below the GTR’s 13,440W dual-channel FOC
- 0–30 mph in ~3.8 s is approximately 0.5 s slower than the GTR
- Standard 1.5A chargers require ~11–12 hours for a full charge; fast-charge is optional
- Kaabo does not publish an official weight; the platform implies approximately 60–65 kg
- Inherits from the GTR the same portability limitations and requirement for an experienced rider
Verdict
5/5 Scootify estimate
The Wolf King GT Pro is a strong choice for a rider who wants the 72V Wolf King platform with a more traditional sine-wave controller architecture at a lower cost than the GTR. For those who need the absolute maximum, the GTR or GTR Max is the better fit.
