KAABO
Kaabo Wolf King GTR Max
SKU: KAABO-WK-GTR-MAX-GOLD
Description
Wolf King GTR Max is the highest-capacity variant of the Kaabo Wolf King GTR line, distinguished from the base GTR by its 40Ah Samsung cell pack (72V 40Ah, 2880Wh) in place of the GTR’s 35Ah LG pack (2520Wh). The added 360Wh extends range from 180 km to 200 km while the drivetrain remains identical: dual 2000W hub motors with 13,440W peak power and 105 km/h top speed, 12-inch tubeless CST tyres, and four-piston hydraulic caliper disc brakes. Dual-wishbone front suspension and a rear hydraulic shock absorber carry over from the base GTR. IPX5 body waterproofing and IPX7 display rating, a removable battery pack, and a TFT display complete the specification. At approximately 67 kg the GTR Max is among the heaviest electric scooters available — suited to experienced, physically capable riders who specifically require the 200 km range capability.

Model history
The Wolf King GTR Max is the 2025 evolution of Kaabo’s Wolf King GTR flagship, sitting at the absolute top of the Wolf line. It builds on the GTR with a larger 72V 40Ah Samsung pack (up from 33.5Ah), a redesigned removable 7-inch hub-motor design for easier servicing, revised suspension geometry and a bigger deck. It is positioned as one of the most powerful and longest-range mass-produced electric scooters, aimed at extreme-performance and long-distance off-road riders.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Measured top speed of 65.8 mph (105.9 km/h) and 0–30 mph in 3.3 seconds — the second-fastest production scooter independently tested by Rider Guide and Electric Scooter Guide
- Powerful Zoom hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors 3mm thick (50% thicker than standard); stopping distance from 15 mph is just 11.5 feet
- Fully adjustable hydraulic suspension — 18-level rear damper and dual-wishbone front fork — delivers stability and comfort on rough surfaces at high speed
- Removable UL 2271-certified 72V 35Ah battery, real-world range of 43+ miles in mixed riding, and a 330 lb (150 kg) weight limit
- Proprietary dual-channel FOC controller with NITRO burst mode (110A, 10 s) and traction control — smooth, controlled delivery of 13,440W peak power
- Dual 2000W motors peak at roughly 13,440W, giving the GTR-platform class-leading acceleration and effortless hill climbing
- Large 72V 40Ah Samsung pack pushes realistic range to around 50 miles, well beyond most performance scooters
- Removable 7-inch hub motors are designed to detach from the wheel rim, simplifying long-term maintenance
- Adjustable dual-arm front and oil-pressure rear suspension plus large all-terrain tires deliver a planted, high-speed ride
- Hydraulic disc brakes and a traction control system support confident stopping at very high speeds
Cons
- Weight of ~137 lbs (62 kg) makes carrying up stairs or loading into a car impractical — requires an SUV or ground-level parking
- The folding mechanism is the most difficult to use among all scooters tested by Electric Scooter Insider: an unreliable latch and a safety pin that bends easily
- Trigger throttle (rather than a twist grip) causes hand fatigue on longer rides
- Smoked rear tail-light cover reduces brake-light and turn-signal visibility in daylight — a genuine safety concern
- Traction control automatically disables in Sport mode, causing rear-wheel spin up to ~40 mph; demands experienced, attentive riding
- At roughly 147 lb (~67 kg) it is extremely heavy and impractical to carry or lift
- Advertised 200 km range is a best-case figure; hard riding above 80 km/h drops it dramatically
- Sheer power and 100+ km/h capability make it unsuitable and unsafe for beginners
- Bulk and weight make folding, transport and indoor storage cumbersome
- Top-speed performance demands extensive open or off-road space and full protective gear to use safely
Verdict
5/5 Scootify estimate
The Wolf King GTR Max is a no-compromise flagship for experienced riders who want maximum power and the longest real-world range Kaabo offers, and who can manage its considerable weight. The trade-offs are portability and accessibility: it is too heavy and too fast to suit casual commuters or newcomers.
